Congratulations to our Winners!
Wow! You really blew our minds with your support for our Two Town Showdown fundraiser! We far exceeded our original fundraising goal of $7000, ending with a total of $10,625 of donations for our organization. Your generosity will help fund grants and enrichment programs throughout Region 10.
We are thrilled to officially announce our winners:
- First Prize - Missed Opportunity with $2850 raised
- Second Prize - The Exiles with $2190 raised
- Third Prize - Stay Tuned Band with $1926 raised
Besides lifelong pride and bragging rights, the winning group takes home a $300 award and the opportunity to participate in a complimentary 6-hour recording session at CSB Media Arts Center. The second place band earns $200, while third place is awarded a $100 prize. In the spirit of transparency, we would like to let all of our supporters know of a last minute issue that occurred as it affected the contest outcome. Ahead of the 10pm deadline a generous donation was received but was not assigned to a particular band. We immediately began communicating with the donor to rectify the issue and we followed the same procedure we had used in previous instances when a donation went incorrectly into the general fund. Voting automatically closed at 10pm while we were fixing the issue. Once we clarified the intended recipient of the donation, we briefly reopened the donations to assign the donation to the correct band, giving the appearance that this particular donation came in after the time limit. Again it is important to emphasize that the donation was received before 10pm and that we followed the same procedure throughout the competition with unassigned donations.
On a housekeeping note, donation receipts went out after processing but please contact us at [email protected] if you need the form again or didn’t receive your receipt.
We are so proud of all of our bands and can’t believe the talent that is out there. Our most fervent hope is that we can someday feature some of these super groups on a REAL stage in REAL life at a future Music Fest. We thank you again for your support!
